Terms and Conditions for Paws @ The Moors

Terms and Conditions Cat Hotel Bookings

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before making a booking. By booking a stay for your cat at Paws @ The Moors, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Bookings and Payments

  • Online Payments: All bookings made through our website are securely processed via Stripe.
  • Deposits: A minimum 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your cat’s chalet and are non refundable or transferable.
  • Balance Due: The remaining balance must be paid witnin 28 days of the start of the stay.
  • Charging Structure: Fees are charged per night, check in times are in the afternoon and check out times in the morning, to allow for the mandatory cleaning and sanitisation of chalets between guests.

2. Cancellations and Amendments

  • Notice Period: If you need to cancel or amend your booking, you must give us at least 28 days notice before the scheduled arrival date.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than the required notice will be liable for the full cost of the booking.
  • Early Returns: No refunds or discounts will be given if you collect your cat earlier than the agreed departure date.

3. Vaccination and Health Requirements

  • Mandatory Vaccines: To comply with UK licensing laws, all cats must have a current vaccination certificate against Feline Infectious Enteritis (FIE) and Feline Respiratory Disease (Cat Flu).
  • Certificate Inspection: You must present an up-to-date vaccination record card electronically before arrival. We cannot accept any cat without proof of vaccination, and the booking fee will still apply.
  • Flea and Worming Treatments: All cats must be treated for fleas and worms at least 7 days prior to arrival. If a cat is found to have parasites during their stay, we will administer treatment, and the cost will be added to your final bill.
  • Kittens: We do not accept bookings for kittens under 6 months.
  • Unneutered Cats: We reserve the right to refuse unneutered male cats & unspayed female cats over the age of 6 months due to marking and hygiene behaviors.

4. Medical Emergencies and Veterinary Care

  • Pre-existing Conditions: You must disclose any medical conditions, regular medications, or dietary requirements at the time of booking.
  • Emergency Consent: In the event that your cat becomes unwell during their stay, we will attempt to contact you or your emergency contact immediately.
  • Veterinary Attention: By agreeing to these Terms, you authorise Paws @ The Moors to seek veterinary attention for your cat if we deem it necessary. We will first attempt to use your specified vet, but we reserve the right to use our registered veterinary practice if required.
  • Veterinary Fees: All veterinary fees incurred during your cat's stay are the sole responsibility of the owner, unless the illness or injury is directly caused by our negligence. These fees must be settled upon collection of your cat.

5. Arrival and Collection

  • Opening Hours: Cats must be dropped off and collected during our stated opening hours: 09:30 - 11:00 for check out and 16:00 - 18:00 for check in. You will select a time at the point of booking.
  • Emergency Contacts: You must provide a reliable emergency contact who is available in the UK while you are away and authorised to make decisions regarding your cat.
  • Delayed Collection: If you are unable to collect your cat at the agreed tme and we do not have sufficient space to accommodate it within the cat hotel, we will request your emergency contact to collect.
  • Uncollected Cats: If a cat is not collected within 14 days of the scheduled departure date and no communication is received from the owner or emergency contact, we will contact the local authorities and animal welfare charities to rehome the cat. The owner will remain liable for all outstanding costs.

6. Liability

  • Standard of Care: We undertake to care for your cat with the highest standards of professional attention, hygiene, and security in line with UK local authority licensing guidelines.
  • Shared Risk: While every possible care and precaution is taken, cats are boarded entirely at the owner’s risk. Paws @ The Moors cannot be held liable for illness, injury, or natural loss occurring during the stay, except where directly resulting from our clear negligence.

7. Data Protection

Your personal details, your payment processing via Stripe, and your cat's health records will be managed securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR regulations.
